About UK Visa Sponsors Directory
Your comprehensive guide to finding UK companies licensed to sponsor work visas.
What We Do
The UK Visa Sponsors Directory is a searchable database of all companies and organizations licensed by the UK Home Office to sponsor foreign workers. We automatically sync with the official Register of Licensed Sponsors every day to ensure our data is current and accurate.
Our mission is to make it easier for job seekers to find employers who can sponsor UK work visas, and to provide transparency about which companies are actively recruiting international talent.
How It Works
1. Daily Data Sync
Every day at midnight UTC, we download the latest Register of Licensed Sponsors from GOV.UK and update our database. This ensures you always have access to the most current information.
2. Change Tracking
We track changes over time, allowing you to see which companies are newly licensed, which have had their licenses revoked or suspended, and historical changes in sponsorship status.
3. Enhanced Search
Our search functionality makes it easy to find sponsors by company name, location, visa routes, or status. Filter and sort results to find exactly what you're looking for.
Understanding Sponsor Licenses
What is a Sponsor License?
A sponsor license is official permission from the UK Home Office for an organization to hire foreign workers and issue Certificates of Sponsorship (CoS). Only licensed sponsors can legally employ people who need visa sponsorship to work in the UK.
Types of Routes
Sponsors can be licensed for different visa routes:
- Skilled Worker: For skilled professionals in eligible occupations
- Health and Care Worker: For healthcare and social care roles
- Senior or Specialist Worker: For intra-company transfers
- Temporary Worker: For short-term work assignments
- Minister of Religion: For religious workers
Sponsor Status Explained
ACTIVE
The sponsor has a valid license and can issue Certificates of Sponsorship. These companies can actively recruit and sponsor international workers.
NOT SPONSORING
The license has been permanently withdrawn. The company can no longer sponsor new workers. Existing sponsored employees should seek immigration advice.
SUSPENDED
The license is temporarily suspended, usually pending investigation. The sponsor cannot issue new CoS during suspension but may be reinstated.
